In a bizarre collaboration that breaks usual expectations, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious confrontation pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where rumors of forbidden rituals and monstrous transformations reverberate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a secret group.
The adventure focuses on "strange experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Transformations
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
