Ex- Physician Charged with Assault Charges Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- physician now faces charges for performing assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of numerous sexual offences â comprising acts against children younger than 13 â between 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor commented, âLegal teams have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to establish that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.â
The Investigation
These allegations come after what investigators called a âcomplex investigationâ into alleged assaults at two hospitals: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the North Staffordshire justice centre on January 20th.

The charging documents outline the forty-five charges include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- 3 counts of penetrative assault on a child under thirteen.
- 1 count of attempting to assault by penetration.
