Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a Los Angeles Traffic Collision

Vince Zampella, who helped create the globally famous franchise Call of Duty, has passed away in a car accident in Los Angeles, California he was 55 years old.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, the development studio that he helped create.

The renowned video game developer lost his life when his car crashed and was engulfed in flames on a highway in the Los Angeles area on Sunday, US media outlets report.

"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and our deepest sympathies go to Vince's family, his family, and all those touched by his creative vision," a spokesperson for Electronic Arts stated.
